Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Clear Abuja ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Platform. These Terms apply to all users, including Citizens (reporters), Collectors, and administrators.
Description of Service
Clear Abuja is a platform that connects citizens with waste collectors to report and resolve illegal dumping and waste management issues. Our services include:
- Waste reporting with photo and location evidence
- Assignment of verified collectors to reported sites
- Real-time tracking of cleanup progress
- Reward point system for verified reports
- Collector verification and management
User Accounts
Registration
To use certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms or suspicious activity.
Citizen Responsibilities
As a citizen reporter, you agree to:
- Submit accurate and truthful reports
- Provide genuine photographs of actual waste
- Not submit false, duplicate, or fraudulent reports
- Respect the privacy of others when taking photos
- Not abuse the reward point system
- Confirm cleanup completion honestly
Fraudulent reporting may result in account suspension and forfeiture of reward points.
Collector Responsibilities
As a verified collector, you agree to:
- Complete assigned collections promptly
- Provide accurate before and after photographs
- Dispose of collected waste at approved facilities
- Maintain professional conduct at all times
- Keep your verification documents current
- Comply with all local waste disposal regulations
Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in removal from the collector network.
Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use automated systems to access the Platform
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Upload malicious content or viruses
Intellectual Property
The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Clear Abuja and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. By submitting content (photos, reports), you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute that content for Platform operations.
Reward Points
Reward points are earned for verified waste reports. Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred or sold. We reserve the right to modify the point system, redemption options, and point values at any time. Points may be forfeited in cases of fraudulent activity or account termination.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clear Abuja shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. We are not responsible for the actions of collectors or the quality of cleanup services provided.
Important: Clear Abuja is a facilitator only. We are absolutely not responsible or liable for any private negotiations, monetary compensations, or agreements made directly between Citizens (reporters) and Collectors outside the scope of the Platform's standard operations. Any such arrangements are solely at your own risk.
Disclaimer
The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform's operation, accuracy, or reliability. We do not guarantee that reported waste will be collected within any specific timeframe.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable local laws. You agree to waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits against Clear Abuja.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to new terms taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
